To do so, students of four Adachi public junior high schools were asked to fill out\nquestionnaire surveys immediately after each intercultural event held with international students from\nMeikai University. 653 junior high school students responded and the results were calculated and analyzed\nthrough statistical methods such as regression analysis. One student model was formulated from each of four\nschools that explains how they were motivated through the events. The comparisons of the four models\nhelped discover two significant factors common among the four models. The most influential factor was the\nstudents’ desire to be able to speak English better. The second most influential factor was students’ interest\nin English.
